What's Love Got To Do With It?

 ..... more by an accident of fate than any design, and at my age very likely to remain that way. So love is not something that I think about much, if ever (sex is another matter 😅).

However whilst watching an episode of The Simpsons (The Blue And The Gray - S22 Ep 13/22), they mentioned that women take just 6.5 seconds to decide if they will sleep with a man - or perhaps it was fall in love - anyway's, that made me look on the web to see if there were any figures for this, or related matters. I don't know why I even questioned it .... there's a million figures out there. Love it seems is an eternal subject of interest to everyone ... especially men it appears.

Research has shown that apparently on average men think about confessing love 97 days (a little over three months) into a new relationship. Women take a little longer and think about confessing love 149 days (about five months) into a new relationship. While the readers digest has suggested that not only do men fall in love faster than women, but that men are 48% more likely to fall in love at first sight. Men they say, wait just 88 days to utter the 'L' word to their girlfriend, whereas women wait almost double the amount of time (132 days).

However initial attraction is far faster, it takes people on average just three seconds to determine whether they were attracted to another person. It isn't quite a split-second decision, but close to it. A study in 2015 revealed that women wait around three weeks or until the fifth date before sleeping with a new man .... although as we have all discovered, that can be considerably shorter in the right circumstances 😄.

Love Is A Many Splendid Thing .....

So how do you know if your date likes you ... apart from the fact that they agreed to go on a date with you of course.

• There's reciprocity.
• She likes your smell & you like hers.
• She's curious about you & remembers random details about your life.
• She find small ways to make physical contact.
• She lingers during brief conversations.
• She leans towards you when you talk.
• She smiles at you often.
• She glances at you briefly but often.
• She engages eye contact with you.
• She strokes her hair while gazing at you.
• They tell you personal details about themselves.
• They specify that they're single.
• They tease you.

 So how do you make her love you?

• Accept her as she is.
• Put her first.
• Show appropriate affection.
• Show you're reliable and dependable.
• Show your generous and caring side.
• Surprise her once in a while.
• Offer sincere compliments.
• Dress to impress.
