.... but in point of fact they are, more often than not 'animal interest' stories .... so as we at PC towers are inveterate invertebrate news 'clippers,' then we have amassed a fair number of these animal oddities clippings.
The Chesterfield Frogs
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Water, said: “It could be possible frogs have laid frog spawn in a sewer or in a river near to one of our outfalls. If you have had a frog appear, please get in touch with us directly so we can have a look in our sewers in the local area to see if there’s any more and if we can get them out and move them to somewhere a bit safer.”
Should Have Gone To Spec Savers
RSPCA officers called to deal with a lizard believed to be under a bed in Coventry in September 2017, discovered it was just a pinky striped stock. Meanwhile in August on the Thames, a walker reported that they had seen snakes on the tarpaulin of a motor boat moored in Marlow. The police investigated and found that they were rubber toy snakes.
A Bit Early For Xmas
A camel, a cow and a donkey were found wandering along a road in Kansas in late November 2019 ... the police rounded them up but had no clues as to where they came from. So they asked for help from the public to find the owners of the "three friends travelling together (towards a Northern star)".

Law enforcement later determined that they belonged to an employee of the Tanganyika Wildlife Park, and were named Sully the camel, Gus the donkey and Rufus the cow, and they became minor stars and were the celebrity guests during the first ever park holiday event named called Happy Hoof-i-days, is a first-ever for the park.
In April 2022, cow rustlers in Gurugram, India were being pursued in hot pursuit by local police. In an attempt to stop the police they started pushing cattle of a trailer to hinder the police.
