.... but recently such a figure has emerged in Australia.
Big Billy the goat god has been spotted on the southern side of the South Eastern Freeway between Callington and Mount Barker in Adelaide South Australia. Now despite the Facebook page, and numerous sightings, some have said that he doesn't exist, while others have described seeing him as “majestic” and a “near-religious experience” and the goat as “overlord and king of the Big Dipper hill”.
However one convinced person is David Leach, Mayor of Mount Barker District Council, who is committed to protecting 'Sir Billy,' stating that "He would be the best looking goat I've ever seen in my life", and after pledging to protect him saying that "There are people in this world who would like to shoot him and mount him on a wall".
