Gambling, and by default, some cheating, are something of a national vice.We have already seen one example of a gambler who had magnets implanted into his finger to cheat at a dice game called Sic Bo.
So when Yan Chenglong was accused of cheating at a game called Xiangqi (sometimes called the Chinese Chess), it perhaps wasn't a surprise. The accusation came after he won the title 'Xiangqi King' in a national televised competition held in Hainan.
But the surprise was the manner of the cheating being claimed ..... radio controlled anal beads (the mind boggles!!) in order to receive 'messages' telling him moves. How he could use beads up his backside to get messages to cheat, is beyond my limited imagination, but presumably its possible but difficult to prove.
Even the Chinese Xiangqi Association admitted that the accusation was hard if not impossible to prove (I'll bet!), but they still stripped him of the title, and banned him from all competitions for a year ... however the official reason for the banning was not for anal bead misuse but for behaviour "that violated public order and good morals" ...
.... this after allegations emerged that he had later shat in a hotel bath during his drunken celebration after becoming 'king' ..... or maybe that he had been getting rid of the evidence of his cheating?
