New Politics, Same Broken Britain

We may have a coalition government with the Liberal Democrats and Conservatives forming what the government but two stories last week illustrated that Political Correctness still holds sway over the Law and other agents of power.

A Child Killer
Firstly, an illegal Iraqi Kurd immigrant, Aso Mohammed Ibrahim, who has fathered two children while here, killed a 12 yr old girl with his car (which he was driving illegally in any case), and two 'Senior Immigration' judges declared that it would contravene this mans "right to life and to "a family life" under the "Human Rights Act" to deport him .... the right to life of the little girl he killed was apparently of no consequence to the decision.

Her father said what most of us are thinking "What are the judges saying here? They are saying it doesn't matter what you do when you come here, who you kill, what laws you break, as long as you have children you can stay here? He's not a life saving surgeon or a Nobel Prze winner. he was a criminal before, a crimminal now, ands he will continue being a criminal".

And Secondly: There was the tale of a killer, Roger Kearney, who is suing the Post office for wrongful  dismissal because they sacked him for 'gross misconduct' six months before he was sentenced to "Life" or whatever passes for a life sentence in the UK, for the murder of his girlfriend . He says that he should have been paid while on bail and therefore is owed £8,225 .... his statement said that because he was “innocent until found guilty” and says his "human rights" were breached.
Killer
‘I feel that, if the Royal Mail could not trust me, they must have believed that the allegations against me were true and after 34 years of loyal service, a clear conduct record and no affect on my ability to perform my duties is a clear breach of my human rights.’ .... which ignores the fact that both the court and the jury also believed the allegations, which is why he is in Prison.

The "Human Rights Act" has been nothing but a millstone around our necks ever since the Blair government foisted it on the UK without the slightest hesitation. This liberal interpretation of the act, seems to be a peculiarly British thing, and now features in criminal stories on a regular basis.
The UK truly is an lunatic asylum run by the inmates ....

Being British Is Not A Privilige Anymore.

A piece of hate filled human garbage named "Mustafa Kamel Mustafa" aka "Abu Hamza al-Masri" arrived on our shores from Egypt, slept around with whores, married a British woman, divorced, drank alcohol and slept around again (but with a British passport now) .....

Abu Hamza Cost UK Thousands In Taxes
Abu Hamza Cost UK Thousands In Taxes

... then he got that old time religion (aka decided not to work, but become a Muslim preacher while on state benefits), married again to a Muslim and had seven kids, (who are all supported by my taxes either in or out of prison), and preached that Westerners, Jews etc should be killed ..... he is currently serving a seven-year sentence for inciting murder and racial hatred, but is due out soon.

Terrorists Evade Eviction From UK

What causes a society to be unable to defend itself or its native citizens against those who would harm it?

I ask because once again terrorists have managed to evade eviction from this country, despite the special immigration court acknowledging that they were 'Al Queda operatives' who were here to kill people. How? well because their 'human rights' might be impaired by being sent home, and if the local law enforcement operatives arrested them.

How utterly mad is this, that we have lost even the simple right to expel criminals or terrorists because some poor legislation, that was never thought through, has to be enforced?

The people this legislation protects are not you or me, in fact we are left in more danger and taxed even more, simply because these people remain in this country, unemployed and having to be watched 24 hours a day, no it protects those who don't believe in human rights of any kind.

The Tories said that this sort of nonsense would end once they got into power, but no, they are just as tied to PC legal opinion as ever the nut case Labour party was.......

Eventually we will actually get a government in power who will simply cancel the HR act, and tell the EU we will no longer accept their courts rulings over UK security and border matters. It can only be simply a matter of time before we will have bodies lying on a street that can be directly attributed to one of these undesirables, and then who will say they are 'disappointed' ....

What was even more bizarre about this latest court ruling was that after Mr Justice Mitting said it was impossible to return the men to Pakistan because in his opinion "There is a long and well-documented history of disappearances, illegal detention and of the torture and ill-treatment of those detained, usually to produce information, a confession or compliance," he then turned to the matter of the three accused students who had already left the UK to return to Pakistan, never once commenting on the oddity that although at least two of them were committed Islamists (i.e. they were also Al Queda), they apparently had no concerns over 'disappearances, illegal detention and of the torture and ill-treatment', and had gone back to Pakistan of their own volition.

You just can't make this madness up ....... we are really doomed as a nation when we just refuse to tackle the biggest single security risk to this country, the rise of militant Islam in our cities.

The first casualty of the Liberal Conservative faustian pact is the security of the country ....

Rapist Paedophile Can't Be Deported From Britain

This story illustrates everything that's wrong with New Labours Britain ....... and forms the final of my 'Broken Britain' posts.

Zulfar Hussain, is a Pakistani national who lived in Blackburn, and who was jailed for just five years in 2007, for grooming, abducting (aka kidnapping), drugging, and raping two girls both aged under 16. In other words an asian paedophile, grooming girls in council care as part of a ring (he had an accomplice), with Qaiser Naveed, another Pakistani national, who was also jailed for the same offences.

Before I go further, lets examine aspects of the story so far.

The mainstream media has consistently denied the news and anecdotal stories coming out of Lancashire and Yorkshire, that Pakistani men were hanging outside schools and grooming underage (mainly white, but not exclusively so) girls. Yet this story, which appears to confirm these stories, is somehow ignored by the mainstream media, and in fact in the BBC version, the story is only considered a small 'local' news story.

The list of crimes committed by these men are
  • Grooming a minor for sexual activity.
  • Abduction of a child (kidnapping in the old money).
  • Drugging a minor
  • Rape of a minor
Yet the sentence is ......... just 5 years, with two years knocked off automatically, under the New Labour's revolving door criminal justice system. What a misnomer those words have become 'criminal justice' .... 'justice for criminals' is about right. Now I don't know what you might think about this, but at a rough estimate of five years for each offence, this set crimes should have resulted in at least 20 years in prison, not 5yrs reduced to 3yrs.

Well at least they were made to sign the sex offenders register (pathetic), and would be deported because they were foreign nationals (do you remember that promise?)

Anyway, to continue this story because it does get worse.

The Home Secretary says that both of these pigs should be 'deported' when they have served what was laughably called a sentence, but Zulfar Hussain appeals, and in topsy-turvey land, he wins, because a British judge thinks that an 'foreign, kidnapping, drug dealing, rapist's, human rights' would be breached by his being deported.

Justice minister Jack Straw merely called the move "concerning" and backed the Home Office's decision to appeal Hussain's bid to stay in the country.... well thank god for that eh? Jack Straw backs an appeal. He went on to say, that "If they had not [appealed], I would have been straight on to the Home Secretary Alan Johnson and he would have insisted on an appeal ".

"Tough on Crime, Tough on the causes of Crime" eh Jack?

Of course the real problem is that we have this Labour imposed "Human Rights Act" which has proved to be nothing more than a labour lawyers charter, used by illegal immigrants, criminals, terrorists, and of course 'human rights groups', to override any measure, that the general public would consider to be sensible, in favour of those who threaten our lives or our children's safety.

The questions that are never answered about this perverse legislation are:

  • Why is the 'human rights act' administered this way in the UK when it appears not to be on the continent?
  • Why do our judges and lawyers apparently make perverse judgements against public interests and in favour of criminals and the legal industry that thrives off them?
  • Why can't we just scrap it, or at least ensure that it can't be used against public or national safety by wrapping it inside a supremacy of Parliament Act, that put the provisions of UK national security and public safety (including limiting its provisions in prisons or too criminals to prevent abuses such as suing their victims) above the act, and ensuring that it was interpreted as it is elsewhere in Europe, with the intention of parliament to the fore
We have an election coming up, but sadly I suspect that we have already lost any chance of removing those who have created the situation I have just described.

I for one mourn for the Britain where this sort of dangerous PC nonsense would have been laughed at ....... now its here now, and we are lost as a nation.

The Right To Vote

Gibraltar, that little bit of England in the Mediterranean, fought a very hard legal battle against our pathetic governments, and the Spanish (who like the Argentinians find history hard to digest, and democracy even harder to swallow .... is it because they are both 'new' democracies??), to get the right to vote in European elections, is voting this week, as part of the English constituency of 'South West England and Gibraltar'.

I am pleased that despite the PC policies of appeasement to the Spanish speaking world, that this country has followed under the Labour Government since the "Falklands War", justice and democracy finally prevailed, due in part to the much maligned (by me amongst others) "Human Rights Act".

UK's Best Legislation ever ..... NOT

And the winner is ..... The "Human Rights Act 1998!"

If ever there was a lawyers charter, designed apparently solely to destroy western civilisation by making it incapable of active defense, and ensure that society holds the law in total contempt it must be this act.

Tony Blair (Prime Minister and trained lawyer), incorporated the European Convention on Human Rights into UK law, through the Human Rights Act 1998. Ever since, the lawyers and judiciary have had fun, using it to give money to criminals, protect land seizures by Irish welfare travellers, punish victims, defend illegal immigrants, allow a million law suits to be fired off and protect terrorists ... for Joe public, sod all has been added to his rights.

To be fair, its possible that, as usual, New Labour had not thought it through, and realised that the UK Judiciary, renowned for their belief that it's they and not Parliament who determine the policies in the UK, would use this act to undermine UK legislation for eternity. Judges back this legislation to the hilt, because it allows them to circumnavigate any UK legislation they don't like, by the manner in which they interpret it.

It's noticeable that other European countries have no such problems with this convention, but then then their judiciary doesn't have quite the absolute freedom to determine case law as in the UK and guess what, civilisation has not collapsed in France, Germany or Italy!!

Still, even they should have guessed that it would lead to cases like that of Islamic preacher Abu Qatada, who far from being deported to Jordan as the Government promised, has now been granted bail with a 22-hour curfew by the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC). This is because we can't deport him for fear of breaching his "Human Rights".

Or the fact that the Northern Rock share holders suing the government for not giving them fistfuls of dollars for their broken company under the "Human Rights Act" ....

Michael Howard, also a lawyer and ex leader of the Conservative party, has said that under this legislation, absurdities abound and the rule of law is eroded. He has given examples such as "the schoolboy arsonist allowed back into the classroom because enforcing discipline apparently denied his right to education; the convicted rapist given £4000 compensation because his second appeal was delayed; the burglar given taxpayers' money to sue the man whose house he broke into; travellers who thumb their nose at the law allowed to stay on green belt sites they have occupied in defiance of planning laws".

And even senior Labour Politicians have criticised the willingness of the UK Judiciary to rule against the wishes of both the government and Parliament. Former Home Secretary John Ried has stated that the Human Rights Act is hampering the fight against global terrorism in regard to imposing control orders: "There is a very serious threat - and I am the first to admit that the means we have of fighting it are so inadequate that we are fighting with one arm tied behind our backs. So I hope when we bring forward proposals in the next few weeks that we will have a little less party politics and a little more support for national security,"

And yet despite failure after failure to get legislation to stick in the courts because of this pernicious act, which added nothing to my rights, but a battery of new rights for the criminals, illegal asylum seekers or illegal immigrants, and terrorists, this lack lustre Government just stays mute or witters on along the lines of "I am extremely disappointed that the courts have granted Abu Qatada bail, albeit with very strict conditions. Public safety is our main priority and we will take all steps necessary to protect the public. I am already seeking to appeal the Court of Appeal's decision that it is not safe to deport Qatada (Because of his Human Rights) and we will continue with deportation action with this and the other Jordanian cases." and this despite the usual spin about doing something only a year ago.

In the meantime cases like those of Anthony Rice's murder of Naomi Bryant in Winchester, in which a report said that probation officials released him, because they had considered his human rights above their duties to protect the public, will continue to happen.

We could of course have introduced this legislation within a supremacy of Parliament Act, that put the provisions of UK national security and public safety (including limiting its provisions in prisons or too criminals to prevent abuses such as suing their victims) above the act, and ensuring that it was interpreted as it is elsewhere in Europe, with the intention of parliament to the fore, but that's not the New Labour way and definitely not the lawyers way.

But guess who has done well out of this act .... the lawyers.
