 .... but in my defence, I would add that I was living in a fair bit of poverty in a one parent household .... so trying to escape that condition by any means, was at least in part a reason to try drugs. I stopped those kinds of drugs as soon as I took a job (alcohol and tobacco remained on the agenda!).

.... that have been spawned by the release this year of a new Dune movie - not to be confused with the David Lynch 1984 version (which he reportedly disowned) - based upon the Frank Herbert Sci-Fi book of the same name, have made me smile, or perhaps grimace is the better term.
