If ever a story thoroughly told its own tale, its the news that the Devon and Cornwall Police are currently running a 'service questionnaire' for 'patrons' of its police cells.
Detainees are asked 41 questions about food, reading material, cleanliness and the temperature of the cells. Well we wouldn't want the little darlings who inhabit these cells to get less than silver service would we?
This questionnaire is being issued at the same time as stories about Burglars having attacked an 88-year-old Devon woman, ransacking her home and leaving her lying on the floor with a broken hip ....
Hundreds of old people are attacked by scum, or die in the UK of cold or hunger every year, but, drunks, thieves, gang members and various unpleasant people who fill these police cells every weekend, get decent meals, books, and warm cells.
