Not Everyone Appreciates The Unique Beauty Of The Trombones Tones ...... |
However nothing had been taken .... but his trombone, which he had stashed in a cupboard in his bedroom, had been damaged.
Independence Day celebrations can be rough in a country with guns and Chicago is a violent place. It has a lot of gang related violence, with very high homicide rates. The city recorded 762 killings in 2016, an almost 60% rise on 2015 numbers and more than any other city in the U.S (although less than some when adjusted for population).
It appears that everyone likes to join in the mayhem on Independence Day holidays. In 2013, the last time Independence Day celebrations occurred over four days, 74 people were shot. The 2017 holidays left 15 people killed, and 86 others injured in shootings between late Friday afternoon and early Wednesday over the same holiday.
I can't think of any other country where this sort of mayhem, in just one city don't forget, would be acceptable ...
A Pornful Lesson ..... To forgive us our daily sins is a Christian Act, or so I was always led to believe .e.g. Matthew 6:14-15
- 14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
So you would expect a Mormon to big on that aspect of the religion. However 21 year old Mormon bride to be Claire Dalton in Utah USA obviously considers some sins beyond the forgiveness. On the eve of her marriage she examined her fiancées mobile phone and found what she deemed to be pornography on it.
She had apparently hoped for a 'true and pure' relationship 'governed by gods laws'. Disappointed she personally contacted all 300 prospective wedding guests a week before the big date to tell them it was now off. She said that she had 'thought it was a sick joke. I was with a stranger, instead of the person I thought I knew so well'
My dad brought me a trombone when I was a child. After three weeks it disappeared. My mother swore it had been stolen. I never did get a replacement!
ReplyDelete.... I wonder why haha! Thanks for comment, and all praise to your mother!
