... So I kind of understand where this lady is coming from, but even so what was going through her head!
In December 2022 whilst recovering in hospital in Mannheim, Germany a 72 year old woman was annoyed by the noise of the machine pumping oxygen to the lady in the next bed. So "after feeling disturbed by the noise emanating from [it]," she got out of bed and turned it off.
Now surprisingly she was only warned by the hospital staff about not doing this again, and the machine was turned back on, and the 72 year old inpatient was told that the oxygen machine was vital to the other patients recovery.
Undeterred she simply waited for a while, then at 9pm when no one was about, turned it off again. This time though there were consequences for the poor 79 year old lady next to her, who required to be resuscitated and then intensive care as a result of the oxygen being turned off but wasn't in danger after being revived.
The police were called, and with a warrant the 72 year old woman was arrested and charged with suspicion of attempted manslaughter ... she was then sent to a "correctional facility" .... aka jail.
