| Password Quality Can Be Poor |
So every country has a national Cyber Security agency in one form or another, but often they are not employing the best of the best (unlike the opposition).
If ever that statement could be seen to be true, then visitors to the UK's National Cyber-security Centre's London HQ can vouch for that statement having a faint ring of truth. When they were given a password for the internal doors, it was '1-2-3-4', which apparently is number 15 on their own list of passwords/codes that should be changed immediately.
Even more funnily, the passwords '12345' and 'Admin' are banned from all products with Internet or Network connectivity in the UK. When challenged, a spokesman for the National Cyber-security Centre said that it was just a visitor pass-code for non sensitive areas .... well, they would say that wouldn't they.
