I don't know what Julian Assange is worried about. It appears that rape in Sweden is little more serious than a driving offence. This particularly true if you are a foreigner where it's almost a right of passage for Swedish citizenship.
Why do I say all this?
Well in yet another example of Western Liberalism gone very very wrong, a Swedish judge had handed out trivial sentences to three rapists.
The three were convicted of gang raping a woman and live-streaming the attack on Facebook, where the 60,000 members of a closed Facebook group, watched the attack streamed live. Someone eventually called the police.
Reza Mohammed Ahmadi, 21, was sentenced to two years and four months in prison for rape and accessory to rape, while Maysam Afshar, 18, was sentenced to one year in prison for rape, (reduced because of his age ... apparently 18 is not old enough for Afghan males to know the difference between right and wrong). They are both Afghan citizens who have been granted residency in Sweden .... the other attacker. Emil Khodagholi, is apparently already Swedish citizen, but also of Afghan descent. He was sentenced to six months in prison for aggravated defamation for posting the rape on Facebook, and for failing to report it. No mention of the gun that one of the Afghans waives in the video.
The attack happened in the town of Uppsala northwest of Stockholm on January 22, 2017.
As usual the excuse given was that western women will agree to group sex whenever they meet Muslim men, especially if plied with drink and drugs, so therefore it was consensual sex and therefore not a crime ..... well not in Afghanistan. Khodagholi even tried to argue that he was not aware that the victim did not want the images to be public.
The Facebook film has since been removed, but as it has been circulated on the internet as porn, the girl will no doubt suffer mental distress later and self harm, while the Afghani animals will come out of prison and resume their lives as 'Swedes' in barely a few months. No hint that their right to reside in Sweden has been compromised in anyway by these events.
Sadly the victim was “heavily drunk” and “under the influence of drugs". This is not an excuse for rape, but it's no good women claiming that being in that state doesn't encourage the behaviour of these types of animals. It does. Judge Lindsey Kushner got criticised for making this point, but she was right .... getting paralytic and then partying with groups of men you met in a bar, is almost always going to end up with rape.
In a final insult the judge ordered the three men to pay damages totalling 335,000 kronor ($38,000, 34,850 Euro's) to the victim. Of course they actually have no money, so that's just a waste of a court order.
So like I said, Julian Assange has nothing to fear from the rape charges themselves. His supporters can whip up a crowd funded $24,000 to compensate the women, and no doubt he can claim the time that was spent in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London as 'prison time' in Sweden.
So alls well that ends well, and it's just another example of a European society losing any values it once held in the last 25 years.

ReplyDeleteSo I suspect is everyone else .... what it says about Sweden is volumes. Interestingly President Trump specifically mentioned Sweden as having major problems with its Islamic immigrants and was mocked. But perhaps he had more of a point than the left leaning liberals care to admit.
