.... normally, not a lucky thing, and in fact usually unlucky as you never see the phone again.
But luckily, the phone was still in the pub and he was able to retrieve it ..... then came the very lucky bit, when lady luck was truly smiling on him ... when he opened it and went to his betting App, he found that someone had been using his phone and made a series of 14 bets on his account, again usually not lucky, as it would be all losers, but all 14 bets had actually won, and he was £653 ($840) better off than when he had left the phone in the pub.
Elsewhere, in 2023 in Wisconsin, the biggest lottery win in the previous eight years $12.2 million (£9,481,509) was won by a resident of the tiny town of Luck.
But Lady Luck doesn't always smiles, and in the US, on the 15th of January 2023, a gambler staked $1.1m (£908k) on the Los Angeles Chargers against the Jacksonville Jaguars when the chargers were 27-0 up in the first half, but then disaster, struck, the Jaguars fought back in the second half, and won 31-30 ..... the gambler lost the lot.
