.... don't usually wear tin-foil hats, but outside of them, there is still a tendency amongst many of us to think conspiracies are more prevalent than they could really be.

I was in a bar the other day (no surprise there then), when I heard a conspiracy theory that I had not heard before. I will have to paraphrase it a little, as the gentleman spouting it, was a little verbose and prone to losing the point. 

The Invasion Fleet Coming Soon .....

Basically it was this. We will be invaded by an alien fleet of highly advanced technology within the next 50 - 100 years, and there is a conspiracy of silence to keep us in the dark about it.

Amongst these are going to be snippets of gold for politicos and nerds alike, because as well as such content as the papers of Henry Kissinger (former Secretary of State under Presidents Nixon and Ford) are intelligence briefings, research papers, UFO sightings and psychic experiments (such as investigating Uri Geller).

Whacko World

One of the great pleasures of the Internet (apart from porn) ... lets not be bashful about the fact that its been argued that its porn that built the Internet into what it is now, but that's another post .... is the wide scope it gives, for crackpots and conspiracists to air their views .... no matter how strange.

These people are in fact the proud heirs to a tradition of nut-cases that stretches back at least a few centuries in the West (I can't comment on other cultures, where tolerance levels seem to be lower), and perhaps even further, if we ignore the Christian era. But even in that era for example, 'Popist plots', have littered English history ever since we became a Protestant Nation ... some were real (the Gunpowder plot for example). But most were not.

There are countless other examples from around the world, including wars, started after 'conspirators' created 'incidents' e.g. Poland's supposed 'attack' on Germany to start World War II (which by the way is called a 'False Flag' conspiracy, in the knowing circles .... search for that term and watch the pages return).

I posted a story on this blog some while ago about Conspiracy Theories on the Web but it appears that I missed one important group out ...... the LaRouche Youth Movement. I say important, because one of their supporters has just won the Democratic nomination for Texas's 22nd Congressional district with 52% of the vote, but has been quickly disowned by Texas Democrats.

Why?

Because Kesha Rogers has immediately called for the impeachment of Pres. Obama ( a member of her own party) because the LaRouche Youth Movement believes that Obama's health care proposals are based on Hitler's and their aim is a eugenic cull of the population, and that the president should be thrown out of office.... hence the call for impeachment.

The movement founded by Lyndon LaRouche, who's stood for President many times, believe that the White House takes orders from the British Empire (run from Buckingham Palace and Threadneedle Street), which also organised two World Wars and the fall of the USSR. They are also passionate about expansion into space, particularly the colonisation of Mars using the power of nuclear fusion as well as various economic policies ...... But the reason their programme isn't being hailed more widely is apparently because America's youth has been enslaved by Rupert Murdoch and Bill Gates using (respectively) MySpace and Facebook.

I don't know how I missed em ......

OK now that we have established that Wingdings (or Webdings) is the official language of the 'Illuminati' here's one that proves New York was attacked because its a 'Jewish city'

First disclaimer, actually neither plane hitting the twin towers had the Q33NY code attached to them, but conspiracists don't let the 'inconvenient truths' destroy a good theory.
