... the reason for this censorship? Because feckless parents in the UK won't put adult content blockers on their kids mobiles and laptops etc.
So now, going forward its not going to be possible to see a naked human being without somehow safely proving your over the age of 18 on each and every site, but nothing apparently stopping you watching Islamic jihadist videos of beheadings and massacres without age restrictions.
We are losing any sense of perspective in the Western PC and woke society .... bad parenting shouldn't be the responsibility of everyone else in society. My freedoms shouldn't be hostage to the performance of irresponsible parents, who can't be bothered to stop their young kids looking at porn.
Age verification requirements for every adult themed site (and I assume that this could cover even art sites, if naked humans are displayed), an adult either visits, or even stumbles across, is impossible to realistically navigate, even by using VPN's. So in effect this is back-door censorship via Ofcom, instead of a law that might have been resisted by libertarians in parliament.
