They were never used, and were sold at a loss by current mayor, Sadiq Khan, for £11,025 to Nottinghamshire-based Reclamations (Ollerton) Ltd, who will dismantle them and export the parts.
However it came out that one of the reasons they weren't to be used was that test volunteers said the water was 'freezing' .... so they were deemed unusable against anarchist rioters and other looters .... it was too cold for them.
As one unnamed police officer pointed out .... "its meant to be cold - otherwise its a spa treatment". I hope Londoners remember this when next the capital is overrun by rioters.
