Floaters ..... Of The Worst Kind |
17 inches of rain hit the area in just 24 hours, killing four people and causing over 7,000 people to be evacuated in the Baton Rouge area of the state, where a state of emergency was declared.
However in an scene reminiscent of a horror movie, a procession of coffins floated down the road leading to a cemetery .... the floods had washed them out of their graves and sent them them on their journey downstream.

Where they ended up was not reported, but one has to assume that they were eventually returned to their original locations in the cemetery.
I remember Suzi Quarto. 17 inches of rain would have drowned her!
