Money from the UK's Postcode Lottery has been used to prepare habitats for beaver reintroductions in three English counties (Staffordshire, Cheshire and Shropshire), which have been beaver free for over 500 years.

Wild beaver are only currently found in Scotland and the English county of Devon.
The reintroductions are actually part of the efforts to reduce flooding, as their dams help reduce carbon dioxide emissions and control flooding events on rivers. The dammed areas also help reintroduce other species attracted by the still water bodies behind the dams.
So a good thing, but no doubt some will not be happy.

Winchesters Cheese and Chilli festival, had to cancel pig racing of six rare breeds, after the snowflakes who run some animal charity, encouraged 45,000 people to sigh a petition which called it 'exploitative'.

This despite the fact that the funds raised by these sorts of events are often used to help preserve the existence of those same rare breeds .... It appears that these animal groups often seem to imagine that these animals are kept alive 'free and gratis' .... its the same for the idea that race horses would simply be kept, just to look at if racing banned (as some groups are demanding), or cows and sheep would be kept on farms just for fun, if meat production halted as some campaign for .... the animals would be slaughtered by the millions.

He got one of his employees to "turn a fur coat inside out and run around shouting." Yeti searchers regularly visit the areas Shoria mountains, and Tuleev organised an international conference on Yeti in the region.
There is still an annual Yeti day, and there was a prize for anyone who proved the Yeti's existence ... the man in the Yeti suit, has a good chance of being shot by someone wanting to get the prize.
