| Too Much Salt In Our Diets. |
As humans we actually over consume salt to the detriment to our healths, as it can raise your blood pressure and increase your risk of heart disease and strokes
But for animals its not such an easy object to obtain, and they will go to great lengths to obtain it. In Africa elephants are known to enter pitch black caves, walking hundreds of feet to get to a salt lick that they have been using for centuries.

| Moose Acting Salty |
In Canada, moose face the same requirements for salt, but in Jasper National Park, Alberta, they have apparently solved the need for salt by licking salt grit off the roads, and even off cars. But of course the drawback to this is that the moose are in danger of being struck by cars (to the detriment of both their and the cars occupants health).
A park spokesperson said that they were now encouraging visitors not to stop or park their cars so that moose cant get used to licking them.

The simple answer would be to put salt licks around the park, well away from the roads?
