Last Monday, President Trump unusually used a teleprompter/auto-cue at a medal ward ceremony, which the press had attended ....

...... probably because his usual rambling disjointed style of talking, would probably have either alarmed the US public (especially MAGA supporters who he'd promised no overseas wars), or his military planners.
He said that it was expected in the planning for the possible war with Iran, that it would likely last for around four to five weeks. But that it may well take whatever time it eventually takes which may be longer, but wouldn't likely involve US ground troops (he seems to prefer betraying the Kurds again, by using them in Iran - see Syria for how that works for them).
In reference to suggestions that he’d heard in the media world wide, that he might get bored and lose interest in pursuing the wars aims – he said there is "nothing boring about this"..... however history suggests that his attention span if he's not winning quickly, is somewhat short. He's even brought up the subject of regime change in Cuba which he believes has fallen into his lap but he's saying that's after Iran as there is plenty of time.
However there was also apparently some nervous laughter amongst the press in the room, as he then suddenly went off the war in Iran script that he'd mostly stuck too, and started praising the rooms curtains, which he said he had chosen during his first term of office, and then he went on to describing in great detail the ballroom that he is having constructed at the White House.
An interesting change of subject and interest, for a man who is trying to politically and militarily reshape another country and the surrounding region, by the use of military force .... he had apparently just lost interest in talking about Iran.

Vexatious comments that may cause upset to other commentators, or that are attempting to espouse a particular wider political view, are reviewed before acceptance. But a certain amount of debate around a post topic is accepted, as long as it remains generally on topic and is not an attempt to become sounding board for some other cause.
