.... anyone facing vets bills can attest to that.
But they can also wreak financial havoc in many other ways .... how many expensive vases have broken after an inquisitive cat has climbed on to a shelf or side board? How many items of value shredded by a dogs teeth?
But via a Tread or Peloton bike .... that's spectacular. In this case it was the Maine Coon cat called 'Rory', who belonged to a resident of Seattle (named in reports as 'Steve'). While Steve was using one of the contraptions (reports were unclear) the poor beast somehow got sucked up in to the workings of his exercise machine. Steve managed to extract the terrified animal, but of course it needed a vet and although Rory sustained nothing worse than a sprained shoulder, the vets bill was $3,000 .... ouch.
