 There's the real world, the one that you and I live in ..... 

Absolem Had Heard It All Before

.... and there's Donald J Trump's world.

Anyone who has watched the development of Donald Trump's second term as President of the United States can't help but have noticed that there appears to be two versions of the world .... one most of us live in, and an alternate version that Trump inhabits. For instance, in Donald's world, he was robbed of the 2020 Presidential election with fraud and conspiracies against him ... this despite all the evidence to the contrary.

In this world, its perfectly OK for the president of the United States to bend the constitution to breaking point via a compliant Supreme Court, which itself has been so overloaded with conservative judges, to the extent that some of its judgements have overturned decades of accepted law. Its now normal for American Presidents to start wars without Congress approval. Enriching themselves and their family by over $2bn (and counting) whilst in office as president is now acceptable, not to mention also giving vast tax breaks to the very rich (which his family now are), at the expense of the poor e.g. removing health care from millions via Medicaid changes and removal of health insurance subsidies (Obama Care).

Its OK to pardon numerous people that many would consider to be punk insurrectionists (as Republican Senator Thom Tillis described them, when demanding the removal of Trump's proposed "Anti-Weaponisation Fund" ... calling it a "payout pot for punks"), common criminals, anti-abortionists, fraudsters, thieves, swindlers and removal of environmental and pollution controls and species protections, all whilst weaponising the law, by using the Department of Justice to attack any and all of those he perceived as his 'enemies' from both his first term in office, and also whilst out of office. This vengeance and petty spite even extended to periods before he ever became President, with lawsuits against women the courts had previously said he had wronged. 

But in the real world that the non believers live in, Trump really did lose the 2020 Presidential Election to Biden, and there was no election fraud or interference. In this world the US national debt continues to spiral out of control (with further additional borrowing every financial year), to such an extent that it threatens to cause a vast economic collapse in both the US and the world, if ever international lenders lost confidence that the US can continue to service the burgeoning debt. In this world, just servicing the US debt costs the US $1,052 billion ($1.052 trillion), consuming roughly 19% of all federal spending for the fiscal year and the figure rises each year.  

Where the US political (gerrymandering is now rife), and other systems (such as the broken healthcare and social security systems), are creaking and breaking, with a need of urgent and serious reforms and overhauls, before they just collapse, but each President since the 1990's has just kicked the bucket down an ever shorter road, for someone else to deal with. 

Where abroad, a nationalist Russia under an elected despot is a continuing and on-going threat to Europe (and whether Trumps acolytes agree on not, by extension, the USA, which would lose its only natural allies outside of Japan and South Korea). A world where China is seriously attempting to claim vast parts of the Pacific (e.g. the South China Sea), as their territorial waters, and is threatening to use force (including invading Taiwan), to support these claims. Its also a very powerful economic rival to the US (far more than the Soviets ever were), and will be a threat and rival world power for the rest of this century, and possibly beyond.  

And where North Korea already has nuclear weapons, and the missiles to hit the USA (successive Presidents didn’t stop this via China in the 90's, when rapprochement with Russia was at its height, and China wasn't so confident/nationalistic in itself). Oh, and of course where despite Trump's stated aims, theocratic Iran has the missiles and the religious and political desire and capabilities to create nuclear bombs ... which it would very likely use to attempt to destroy Israel (along with parts of Lebanon, and Egypt and most of Jordan with the resulting fallout). 

Actually its more likely that the moment they tested a nuclear weapon, Isreal would nuke Iran into the stone age, claiming 'self defence' .... so in that regard the US attempts to stop Iran getting nuclear weapons, is probably a good thing for the Iranian people, the region, and the world if they succeed. 

But, as Trump will remain in office for another two years, Trumps alternate universe and world view will continue unabated for at least that time ... in fact if Republicans win the next presidential race, then Trump's influence and alternate truth world view could extend until on until he dies.
